Location, Location, Location

Location is important and we want to share some things about where we are and the neighborhood.

We are at 181 Eddy Street, between Mason and Taylor. We are in a building with 4 doorways. As one looks at the building our entrance is the one on the right hand side of the building.

We are located within the Union Square District of Downtown San Francisco. The Citadel is one block from the Cable Car Turnaround on Powell and Market, one of the busiest spots in the City.  We are one and a half blocks from the Warfield, one and a half blocks from Bloomingdale’s Department Store and Nordstrom’s in the San Francisco Shopping Centre. We are three blocks from Union Square and Macy’s.

Hotels: We are one block from the Parc 55 Hotel, one of San Francisco’s finest. One block from the Hilton Hotel and other hotels are just around the area.

Parking:

Street parking is available but since we are in the Theater District, some evenings are more difficult than others. Parking is available in the lot right next door at the left of our building, across the street in the lot or in the City of San Francisco 5th and Mission Street Garage only two blocks away.

Accessibility:

Unfortunately, the SFCitadel is not wheelchair accessible.  At the time of our most recent move having wheelchair accessibility was high on our list, but unfortunately it was not to be.   The difficulties in finding a space for a public dungeon made us move to a location, which while making a great dungeon, is on the second floor and accessed by a long staircase.  We looked into the feasibility of a chairlift, but a curve and landing on the staircase made this impossible.  We tried, but it was, unfortunately, not to be.

Police:

The police station is one and one half blocks away at 301 Eddy Street. Their phone number is 415-345-7300. There is always a police presence on the street whether you see uniformed officers or not. Feel free to call the police if you have any issues.

This is a friendly neighborhood, which is improving every day. The City of San Francisco is actively working to make the area better and you can see it if you only look around.

Come and enjoy the SF Citadel.
